Roger Henry obtained his diploma in Fine Arts from the University of Kansas in Lawrence. He began his career by painting portraits in San Francisco. His series of pet portraits, which started with his own dog, Aubrie, has now grown to include the pets of some of Hollywood’s elite. In addition, Roger has painted pet portraits for the elegant Parisians, Marquis de Brantes and Mme Despointes, as well as movers and shakers in the Los Angeles film scene such as Gus Van Sant (director of Good Will Hunting), the screenwriter for Meet the Parents and Page Powell, who worked closely with Andy Warhol curating shows for Jean-Michael Basquiat.
